This Pokemon is Ash's Pikachu featured in the film Pokemon the Movie: I Choose You! This event will always be active as it works by scanning the QR code for your region. The Pokemon does not appear shiny but it will have the red star symbol indicating a shiny.

~ACTIVE EVENT~
Ash's Pikachu
Available in Pokemon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, Ultra Moon
Method: Serial Code PIKACHUM20

This Pokemon is Ash's Pikachu featured in the film Pokemon the Movie: I Choose You! This Pokemon was intended for distribution in Singapore, but since Singapore does not have a specific region associated with it within the games, it is actually obtainable worldwide and can even be obtained if you have already received the Ash's Pikachu specific for your region. As with the previous entry, this Pokemon may be shiny due to a bug. There is no known end date for this event. To receive the Pokemon, enter the code in the Mystery Gift menu.

~ACTIVE EVENT~
MAGEARNA
Available in Pokemon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, Ultra Moon
Method: QR

This event will always be active as it works by scanning the QR code for your region. The Pokemon is only available though this method and is shiny locked, meaning as of this writing there is no legitimate way to have a shiny Magearna. Magearna also has an unobtainable form called Original Color. This form resembles a Poke Ball and has never been given out anywhere in the world.

In order to redeem the code, you must first beat the Elite 4 and Champion. After that, you can scan the code using the Rotom Dex's QR code scanner. Then, go to the Antique Shop in Hau'oli City's mall and talk to the person there to receive Magearna.

________________________________________________________________________

This thread is for discussing the special events for the Pokemon video games where you can receive unobtainable Pokemon (Mew, Celebi, etc.), special items (Member Card, Aurora Ticket, etc.), and the like. You can discuss any of the events (past, present, or future) for any of the Pokemon video games. I will keep this first post updated with the current and upcoming events. I will add the events for the main series in the United States as soon as I find out, but I don't always keep tabs on all of the spin-off games' events or the events in other countries. If you know of a present or future event AND can provide evidence that it exists (anything trustworthy, be it a poster in a video game store or a leak from a respected news site), I will add it to this post. I know that sometimes news sites will get leaked info months beforehand, so I will also be keeping a list of likely, but not yet officially confirmed events as well.

Please note that events for specific countries that take place over Wi-Fi can be accessed from anywhere in the world, but only if you have a game from that country. For example, if a Wi-Fi event is being held in Japan, a player in France would be able to access the event if they had a Japanese copy of the game.

Also, it has come to my attention that there are sometimes Pokemon given away at trading card game tournaments. However, I will not be adding those to the list as they are often unannounced AND are only available for an EXTREMELY limited time (often only one day) and only in ONE place. If you wish to learn about these events, visit the website for the trading card game that pertains to your area or attend your local Pokemon League. The only exception to this rule may be if an event is held at the World Championship, in which case I may add it, but only if the event is announced beforehand.

It's sort of like the old Pokemon Pikachu. It's basically a pedometer that comes with the games which you can use, among other things, to level up and even catch Pokemon.

Yeah, it counts.

When traded to HeartGold or SoulSilver, that Arceus gives you the chance to catch a Lv. 1 Palkia, Dialga, or Giratina. You can only pick one. :3

Well, in my mystery event thingy there was an arceus, I figured it was the Azure Flute but when I picked it up it was an Arceus. I'll snap a screen shot later.

I probably hacked it when I had access to my cousin's AR though and forgot about it. xD

1.) I can't connect my DS to the internet.
2.) I got my SS used so I didn't get a Pokewalker (Or a case. >.>).

Oh well, that's why they invented Action Replay. 8D

It's a Wi-Fi event, so you can access it anywhere that has a compatible Wi-Fi signal. I think the only requirements are that you have the Pokedex and have room for the Wonder Card. But, if you don't have room for it, you can just delete an old one.

The Japanese Victini event for Black and White is over.

Post Merge: October 21, 2010, 07:43:39 PM

Japanese Kumasyun even for Black and White is active. It's an odd event. It's not a legendary, it's just a Pokemon that is exceedingly rare outside of Winter and is only being distributed so that everyone has a chance to have one.

Update, ahoy!! We're getting the legendary beasts spread out during January and Ash's Pikachu at the end of the month and into February. Be sure to notice how short the individual giveaways for the beasts are. You will need all three in order to activate the Zoroark event in Black and White.

Nintendo hasn't said that they will, but they might. They have repeated the last few over Wi-Fi, and the posters for the event in GameStop say that it may be repeated over Wi-Fi at a later date, but that doesn't mean that they will for certain.

But I think they probably will. Europe is getting the shiny beast events over Wi-Fi.

IMPORTANT! Do NOT move your event shiny beasts or Celebi onto Black or White via the normal transfer method. The events will not activate. In order to activate their events, you must transfer them via the semi-secret Relocator. To activate this transfer method, find the man in Castelia City asks you to tell him a phrase. Respond with this: Everyone Happy Simple Connection. The Relocator will be added to the options on the main menu and you can transfer all event Pokemon at once directly to your Box.

Also, it turns out you only NEED one of the shiny beasts to activate the Zoroark event. But you CAN transfer all three.

Two new events. First is a Banette, but even though the event is technically active, the password is in the next issue of Nintendo Power, so we won't be able to access it until the magazine comes out... or it leaks online. The second is a Togekiss that you can download during the month of your birthday. As far as I know, that event isn't going to be ending, anytime in the near future anyway.

Pokesavs is better, besides, if feels more like an accomplishment when you get it legitimately.

I never use things like that. I only get unobtainable Pokemon through events.

Most of the time, events aren't hard to do or far away. They used to be, but most are through stores or Wi-Fi now. I remember driving OUT OF STATE to go to the first Deoxys event for FireRed and LeafGreen. XD

Pokemon Rocks America was cool. :3

And you had to mail your game to Nintendo to get Mew on Red and Blue. O3O

Except for the fact that there's no Toys 'R' Us/Gamestop near, and they give away all the good pokemon in stores.
I don't like to AR my pokemon...
I like to make any hacked ones as legit as possible, and bring them in at low levels.

That's why its cool. Its an event. You have to put actual effort into getting it. =3=

AR doesn't let you do what a save editor does.
I got me a speed boost Torchic with custom IV's. At lv.5
I put effort into making it and effort into raising it.

There were two opportunities to get those, you know. They were each given out for a week at GameStop and then they were each available through Wi-Fi for some time.

In all honesty I'd still take a Pokemon from you just to say I have one. To me there's nothing like scrolling through your Pokemon and looking at all the different OTs. Especially if you know the people who gave them to you. I like to go "Hey, that's the Charmander GD gave me. And that's the Zoroark I took from Kay so she wouldn't feed it to GTS!"

The movies have been confirmed to be localized in some American form. I just hope they don't keep the whole revival step going and make you go to the movies to get the events. I personally don't care for the anime too much anymore.

You could just go to the theater and do a search for the event. They'd probably have it set up as a wireless signal, so you wouldn't even have to go inside. Like a the events they have in stores. I usually don't go inside when they're at Toys R Us. Just park in front of the building.

QuoteIn the Netherlands, on February 18th, various V&D stores across the regions will be giving away a special download. This download provides a special Level 100 Reshiram or Zekrom for your games. If you have Pokémon Black, you get Zekrom while if you have Pokémon White, you'll get Reshiram. These Pokémon are to be Level 100 which indicates that this is an international occurance of the Movie Event Reshiram & Zekrom that came in July last year in Japan which had the special moves of Mist & Haze respectively. It's currently unknown if these will make it to the rest of Europe or America, but is likely that they will. We'll bring more as it comes

Added the Genesect event for Black 2 and White 2. Should be active in all English-speaking regions at launch. I don't think the original Black and White will be able to access the event, but I'll check once it's active. Even so, Genesect's in-game event at P2 Lab should still activate on Black and White if traded from Black 2 or White 2.

The only unobtainable left is Meloetta. Which is weird. I don't think they've distributed them out of order before. Meloetta is listed before Genesect in the Pokedex.

I'd like to see some events for the in-game legendaries from older games. I don't want to have to permanently transfer my only Zapdos or whatever over to Gen. V if I don't have to.

The Porygon event ended a few days ago and a Gothorita event has been announced.

There's only one event running for Sun and Moon right now and that's for Magearna. You can get it by scanning a QR code after you're the Champion. Other than the Munchlax I mean. You can get that one on Mystery Gift over Wi-Fi right now, no code or anything.

USA code

Europe/Australia code
